HO Scale Brass Imports Model Trains
HO Scale was first released in UK during the 30s. The HO or sometimes H0 (zero) has a scale ratio of 1:87 or an actual measurement of 3.5mm to 1ft. Although it was introduced in the 30s, it was only in 1960 that the HO scale became a recognized model scale. The model scale didn’t become popular in UK but it became the favorite scale model in US. The HO or H0 refers to “Half-Zero” which means that the size of HO is a little bit larger compared to the O or 00 Scale model. Its popularity is based on the fact that it’s large enough for intricate designs but small enough to minimize production cost.
Model trains could come in different components. The sturdiest component for model scale is currently the brass imports. These trains are made of brass and this component could withstand any weather conditions. A train with this component could be used for outdoor display with different weather conditions. The HO scale with brass imports practically has the best of both worlds. The brass imports could be a little bit more expensive if they are built in a larger scale but when they are ported into HO scale, the production cost could be minimized.
