N Scale Life-Like Model Trains
Life-Like used to be manufacturers of ice chests and was known as Lifoam. Since the ice chests are never in demand all year long, Lifoam decided to expand its line of products to train accessories as another source of profit. Because of the popularity of their model train accessories, Lifoam decided to separate the products and called it Life-Like. This was during the 50s and continued until the 70s when the company (now Life-Like) expanded their product line and issued their first model scale trains. The company enjoyed popularity during the 70s but after two three decades, Life-Like could not keep up with increased competition. Life-Like was sold to a toy manufacturing company Wm. K. Walthers in 2005.
