N Scale Micro-Trains Line (MTL) Model Trains
Micro Trains Line is credited to brothers Dale and Keith Edwards. They are also the founder of Kadee where it gained its prominence because of the patented Magne-Matic couplers during the 40s. These couplers are among the preferred couplers for the HO system. They started their Micro Trains Line during the 60s under Kadee but because of the stunning success of the N scale model, the brothers opted to make it an independent company primarily for the manufacturing of smaller scaled model trains. By 1972, it became a separate division from its couplers and it attained complete independence along with manufacturing rights in 1990.
Micro Trains Line is undoubtedly among the leaders in N and Z scale models. They are the most extensive manufacturer of N scale model trains with more than 80 different models to offer to their hobbyists. Although they are not the pioneer in this model scale, they are certainly a leader as they offers a very detailed design with powerful couplers from Kadee, which is also their sister company. Most of their train set are table top sets that are easy to assemble and could be operational in minutes. Micro-Trains Line is also one of the leading manufacturers of N scale accessories for model railroad scenery.
