G Scale Model Trains
For many people, trains and accessories do not have to be purchased together. Modelers will in fact often purchase the train ahead of time so that they can work on it and perfect the look that it brings to the table. Only after that is done will most of the modelers that are serious about their work go ahead and get the track. The track is not really essential when you are shopping for the train and looking for it can oftentimes lead to you spending less of your energy determining which G Scale Model Train is best for you.
G Scale Model Trains are also oftentimes referred to as being larger scale trains because of their relative size to trains that reside in other groups. The largest scale of the train that you will see is 1/22.5 while the smallest is 1/25. Any scale that is outside of this range is not a true G Scale Model Train, so make sure that you don't get taken in by imposters!
Another way to figure out the G Scale validity of a particular train is to see if the train comes with #1 gauge equipment. This is not necessarily something that is true in the case of all G Scale Trains however and it should only be used as a way to confirm a hypothesis rather than a way to create one.
